Michael P. Nett, M.D. was raised on Long Island. He completed his undergraduate education at Fordham University, NY. He earned his medical degree graduating with Alpha Omega Alpha Honors and a Distinction in Research from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center.

He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Dr. Nett then completed his Adult Reconstruction and Sports, the Medicine fellowship at The Insall Scott Kelly Institute.

Following his fellowship, Dr. Nett joined the Insall Scott Kelly Institute. He is now affiliated with St Francis Hospital, the highest ranked hospital on Long Island. Additionally, he continues to practice in Suffolk County at St. Catherine's Hospital in Smithtown.

He has authored or co-authored multiple orthopaedic publications, participated in clinical research, and presented at national meetings.

He specializes in joint reconstruction and sports related injuries of the hip and knee.
