Dr. William J. Long, M.D., FRCSC obtained his medical school degree from the University of Western Ontario. After completing his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada, he was granted Fellowship in the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada
Dr. Long further sub-specialized in adult hip and knee primary and revision reconstruction at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. This was followed by a second fellowship at the Insall Scott Kelly® Institute in New York City in knee surgery and sports medicine, where he has continued as an attending staff surgeon.
His areas of specialization include all aspects of hip and knee pathology, from sports-related injuries to hip and knee reconstruction and revision surgery. His interests include less invasive techniques as well as hip resurfacing and unicompartmental knee arthroplasty. |
